Founding partner David L. Ross attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate program, receiving a B.S. in Journalism and Communications in 1997. Mr. Ross chose to go to law school rather than accept a position full-time as a sports reporter, and selected St. Thomas University, in Miami, Florida, based on scholarship considerations. He received his juris doctorate degree in 2000.
Mr. Ross has worked primarily in the insurance litigation industry since 2000, and has worked hand-in-hand with many blue-chip companies in defending their lawsuits all across the State of Florida. Mr. Ross has successfully defended such clients as Allstate Insurance Company, State Farm Insurance Company, Sysco Food Services, Waste Management Inc., of Florida, Zurich North America, Empire Fire & Marine Casualty Company, Moen, Inc., Brady Risk Management, Denny's, Inc., Wendy's Inc., Quarterdeck Restaurant, LLC., Shooters Waterfront Café, Soyka/Brasseri Restaurant(s), Shorty's Bar-B-Q Restaurants, Tarpon Bend Restaurant & Bar, Bryan's Riverhouse Restaurant, Oasis Café, All Risks, Ltd., HMS Host International, Inc., Century Homebuilders, Inc., and Investor's Underwriting Managers. Inc. In addition, Mr. Ross has good working relations with Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., a widely-known third party administrator for claims handling, with offices located in the Midwest, as well as in New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
Mr. Ross focuses his primary practice areas in all aspects of Insurance Defense claims, including Alcoholic Beverages, Auto Liability (including Personal Injury Protection defense), Construction Law, Construction Defect, Contracts, Commercial Litigation, Disabilities, Environmental Law, General Liability & Litigation, Hurricane Fraud, Insurance Coverage, Insurance Defense, Labor and Employment, Libel, Slander and Defamation, Personal Injury, Premises Liability (including all slip/trip and fall claims), Products Liability, Professional Liability, Negligent Security, Resorts and Leisure (including hotels, restaurants, and bars), Retail Liability, Subrogation Recovery, Torts, Toxic Torts, Transportation Negligence, Wrongful Death Defense, Worker's Compensation.
He is a member of the bar in the State of Florida and U.S. District Court, Northern District, Middle District and Southern District of Florida, as well as the American Bar Association. He has been recognized as a keynote speaker for the National Business Institute, and continues to participate in teaching seminars on a yearly basis since 2004. In addition, Mr. Ross is a member of the Trial Lawyers section of the Florida Bar, and anticipates becoming a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer in 2006.

Partner, Amanda J. Sharkey Ross attended Stetson University where she obtained her B.A. in Political Science in 1999. She spent time studying at the Universidad Cumplutense de Madrid in 1997. Always intending to pursue a career in law, Ms. Ross went on to law school at the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated cum laude, receiving her juris doctorate degree in 2002.
Ms. Ross began her legal career in the insurance litigation industry in 2003. In 2007, she was named partner at an insurance and maritime defense firm. In 2008, Ms. Ross was named a Florida Trend Legal Elite Best Up and Coming Attorney. Ms. Ross joined the Law Offices of David L. Ross, P.A., as a partner in 2009. Ms. Ross has worked primarily in the insurance litigation industry, with focuses on insurance defense claims, including Automobile and Trucking liability; Premises Liability; Construction Defect; Insurance Coverage Defense; Products Liability; Negligent Security; Wrongful Death and Maritime Law.
She is a member of the bar in the State of Florida and U.S. District Court, Middle District and Southern District of Florida.

Michael Delgado was born in Miami, Florida. He attended Monsignor Edward Pace High School where he was involved in various activities, including membership in the Leadership organization. After graduation, Michael attended the University of Miami where he graduated magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Business Management and Organization. As an undergraduate, Michael was placed on the President's List and earned membership into numerous honor societies. Prior to enrolling in law school, Michael was the Accounting and Logistics Supervisor for a chemicals distributing company.
Michael attended St. Thomas University School of Law in August, 2005 and participated in a study abroad program in Seville, Spain where he researched and studied Comparative Law and Transnational Commercial Law. Furthermore, while in law school, Michael was on the Dean's list and also earned the top grade in Advanced Legal Research, White Collar Crime and Intellectual Property. Michael was also a summer clerk for a local intellectual property law firm. Based upon his academic credentials, Michael earned membership into the St. Thomas Law Review. After his first year as an editor, Michael was selected to be the Editor-in-Chief of the 2007-2008 St. Thomas Law Review. Moreover, as Editor-in-Chief, Michael played an integral part in the realization of the National Conference of Law Reviews 2008 by coordinating and managing first-hand with organizing the event which welcomed over 300 law review editors from across the nation to participate in local law review-related panels and discussions.
Mr. Delgado received his Juris Doctorate Degree in May 2008, and soon thereafter joined the Law Offices of David L. Seth W. Diamond

Mr. Diamond was born in 1974 in Silver Spring, Maryland. He attended Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, Maryland where he was involved in various activities, including membership on the school's swimming and lacrosse teams. After graduation, Mr. Diamond attended Syracuse University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship. After receiving his Bachelor's Degree, Mr. Diamond returned to the Washington, D.C. area, where he worked on various national political campaigns as an intern for the Political Education Department of the National Counsel of Senior Citizens, a national senior citizens advocacy organization. After his internship expired, Mr. Diamond gained employment with Kastle Systems, designing and selling security systems for use in professional office suites. In 1998, Mr. Diamond returned to the National Counsel of Senior Citizens, serving as Assistant Director of the Department of Political Education, where he served throughout the 1998 Congressional and Gubernatorial elections. Mr. Diamond began his legal studies at the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1999. After his first year, he interned for The Honorable Andrew Sonner on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. In 2000, Mr. Diamond transferred to the Washington College of Law at American University, in Washington, D.C. While attending law school, Mr. Diamond served as a Law Clerk for various civil litigation and corporate law firms in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Miami. After receiving his law degree in 2002, Mr. Diamond moved to Miami where he practiced law at a moderately sized law firm. His practice is focused on all aspects of litigation and contracts, including Insurance Litigation, Corporate Litigation, Fraud Investigation, Contracts, General Liability, Premises Liability, Landlord-Tenant Law, Property Damage/Subrogation, Insurance Coverage, Personal Injury, Products Liability, Professional Liability, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Negligent Security. In April of 2006, Mr. Diamond joined the Law Offices of David L. Ross, P.A., where he continues to practice in the above-related areas.

Sean Hengesbach

Sean Hengesbach graduated from Spring Hill College in 1998 and from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2001, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. While at St. Thomas, Mr. Hengesbach was an Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review and was a research assistant to certain members of the St. Thomas faculty. Mr. Hengesbach went on to receive his L.L.M. in Tax and Estate Planning from the University of Florida in 2003.
Mr. Hengesbach previously served as an associate with Mr. Ross in a South Florida insurance defense firm where he handled all manner of civil litigation, including Personal Injury Protection (PIP), Fraud, Libel, Slander and Defamation, General Litigation, Negligent Security, Premises Liability, Products Liability, Resorts and Leisure (including hotels, restaurants, bars), Torts and Transportation Negligence.
Mr. Hengesbach focuses on tax and estate planning, commercial and residential real estate and commercial litigation, including civil defense litigation at the firm of Hengesbach & Taylor, P.A., in Tampa, Florida.

Joseph P. Walsh

Joseph Patrick Walsh graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1998 and received a B.S. in Political Science, all while playing college football on the Division I Central Florida Knights. Mr. Walsh received his juris doctorate from Saint Thomas Law School, in 2001, finishing in the top 10% of his class. In addition, Mr. Walsh was also Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law review during his second and third years of law school.
Upon graduation, Mr. Walsh worked for a small private defense firm, Thomas Cazel, P.A., where he honed his trial skills prior to taking a position as an assistant public defender in West Palm Beach. Mr. Walsh has successfully defended clients in over fifty trials to date. Mr. Walsh has extensive experience in the practice areas of insurance coverage and litigation, including general liability, commercial litigation, construction defect litigation, premise liability, employment law, transportation negligence, and products liability.

Elizabeth Goings attended the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, receiving a B.S. in Mass Communications in 1992. Prior to attending law school, she obtained valuable corporate experience working for Crown Central Petroleum Corporation, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, and Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology. Ms. Goings received her J.D. in 1999 from the University of Miami. She obtained valuable legal experience in insurance defense litigation; labor and employment law; health care law; construction law and litigation; contracts; and, commercial litigation. Although her practice primarily involves litigation, she also serves as general counsel to a variety of small and medium-sized businesses in Miami-Dade County providing contract drafting and negotiation; labor and employment consultation; and commercial dispute resolution services. She is a member of the State Bar of Florida, U.S. Northern and Southern Districts, and, 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Rachael Mitchell

Our newest addition to our growing family, Rachael Mitchell, was born in Rochester, NY. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science in 2007 from Pepperdine University where she graduated magna cum laude. She is currently a 2011 candidate for her Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law on a Dean's Merit Scholarship. While attending Pepperdine University, she was the President of Phi Sigma Tau Philosophy Honor Society and Vice President of Model United Nations. She received an award for Outstanding Senior in Philosophy and was recognized by the Global Tides Pepperdine Journal of International Studies for her paper on HIV/AIDS in Central Asia.
Her internships include working for a construction and surety litigation firm in Rochester, NY and she spent a year post-graduation working at a plaintiff's personal injury firm in Calabasas, CA. At the University of Miami, School of Law she participates in the Book Buddies Program mentoring elementary students, the Miami Street Law Clinical Program teaching law to high school students in the Greater Miami area, the Wrongful Convictions Project, and is a Student Ambassador. Ms. Mitchell was a semi-finalist in the Charles C. Papy Moot Court Board's 1L Competition. She is currently a Law Student Member of both the Dade County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association
